Vamshi is a seasoned index manager with over 8 years of experience. He specializes in designing bespoke index strategies and developing automated systems for comprehensive index management. His expertise spans crucial areas, including index backtesting, review and rebalancing, handling corporate actions, and creating factsheets.
Notably, Vamshi achieved a significant milestone by conceptualizing and leading the development of a highly scalable and robust index management platform at one of Asia’s largest index providers in Hong Kong. This innovative platform resulted in a remarkable four-fold increase in operational efficiency. He relocated to the U.S. in 2019, where he solidified his financial services career by developing numerous proprietary index strategies for asset managers and ETF issuers.
Vamshi assumes a critical responsibility inside 13D for constructing and managing the organization’s theme-based indexes. In addition, he maintains the portfolio of 13D’s Highest Conviction Ideas and an internal system that computes the daily index values. His diverse technological skills, combined with a thorough understanding of financial markets and indices, position him as a vital contributor to the success of 13D’s indices.

Vamshi earned his bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. More recently, in 2022, he completed the Executive MBA at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
In addition to his achievements in his career, Vamshi enjoys hiking and frequently travels across the Appalachian mountains.
