Kate has been associated with 13D for over 20 years. Her areas of expertise include interpreting geopolitical events, and analyzing the investment implications of converging demographic shifts, technological changes and socio-political attitudes. She writes extensively on the future of employment and education, as well as health and wellness, and women in the workplace.

Her timely and accurate analysis and risk assessment on Al-Qaeda and global terrorism in August of 2001 proved a watershed moment for 13D. Beginning in 2010, she was a lone voice in the investment world challenging the sustainability of the sharing economy and the long-term implications of automation on employment and society. A contrarian and a humanist, she is committed to raising awareness about our shared obligations to the planet and to each other.

Kate graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia College, Columbia University and earned a Masters in Library Sciences from Queens College, CUNY.
