Spencer is an experienced finance professional with a proven track record of building and nurturing strong client relationships. His recent appointment at 13D in April 2023 is a testament to his exceptional skills and expertise in cultivating partnerships across North America.

Before joining 13D, Spencer was a valuable member of the Institutional Sales Desk at B. Riley Securities, where he managed key relationships with various insurance firms, mutual funds, hedge funds, and family offices. He worked closely with institutional investors where his daily responsibilities included distributing timely equity research, organizing corporate access meetings with public company management teams, as well as placing both equity and debt offerings. With his extensive experience in distributing equity research and raising capital for public and private companies, Spencer is well-equipped to take on his new role at 13D.

Spencer graduated with a degree in Finance and was a member of the Smith Business Honors program at the University of Maryland, College Park. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, playing sports, and live music. Learning to play the piano this past year has been a challenging yet rewarding experience that has helped him develop discipline, focus, and creativity that he can also apply to his work.
