Luan discovered and read 13D’s research while working for JBF Capital. Luan found his passion for knowledge resonated well with 13D’s mission. Luan joined 13D in 2021 and has written about energy, commodities, agriculture, and technology. Luan is interested in global markets and follows U.S. and Asian industries closely to discern changing market circumstances. Luan thinks 13D is the best at adaptability and discovering the most important themes and trends in global markets.

At Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, Luan learned valuation from Tim Koller, author of the book Valuation by McKinsey. Luan also studied theology and philosophy at university and continues to delve deeply into these fields. 13D’s intellectual freedom and deep curiosity for learning inspires Luan to constantly seek truth and discover principles that can help clients navigate financial markets.
