America is re-opening and it is not ready. Accurate and speedy tests are potentially the only sustainable way to safely reopen economies around the world. However, major challenges remain for both COVID-19 diagnostic and antibody testing.

Reopening economies in the absence of proper testing and tracing infrastructure could be catastrophic. Second waves are already being seen in countries like Singapore, a nation whose government was the first in the world to back an automated tracing service, the TraceTogether app, but has seen only 10% to 20% compliance.
