The preceding quote by FCC chairman, Ajit Pai, underscores that deployment of 5G fixed-wireless access (FWA) could lead the first wave of the next-generation wireless technology. We are intensely studying 5G wireless as it is a key-enabling technology that will likely determine the winners of the 21st century (see reports). 5G’s advantage in high bandwidth and low latency is enabling carriers to compete with fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) service providers.
