Gen Z may be the ultimate disruptors. Are you ready?

“After a decade of focusing on Millennials, we’re starting to look ahead to what’s next.” So says Christine Richards, CEO of Education Realty Trust, which develops and manages college housing, and is now emphasizing value over luxury to appeal to students who grew up under the shadow of the Great Recession (see WILTW April 18, 2019). The students Richards is targeting are members of Gen Z, a moniker given to anyone born after 1997, and who will this year become the biggest generation globally.
